A Message from ESCYT
It is with great sadness that we share the news that Mike Dyer-Ball passed away on Wednesday 7 October following a short stay in hospital.
It is obviously a really sad time for everyone who knew Mike and I know he'll be greatly missed by so many people.
We are all so grateful to have met so many of people through Mike, particularly through summer camp. We’ve made some brilliant memories and friendships over the years and I think that's something really special that he's left behind.
East Sutton Community Youth Theatre (ESCYT) is a thriving, well established and happy organisation still serving many of the communities in the Weald of Kent. The Theatre provides a wide range of drama activities and is closely connected to the local schools. The aim has always been to nurture the children, so that they will increase their confidence, learn to develop their own talents, interact successfully with their colleagues and of course, have fun!
Currently we have several members either at or going to the major Drama Schools and several actors doing very nicely in the profession at this moment. However I would like to stress that our main purpose is " Theatre in Education" where we use drama as a means to develop the children to improve their skills for the classroom and life itself. We are not a stage school.
